*THE "HEIR TO KELZ" ALBUM RELEASING 1/1/25*
Qu'Adrian was born in Muskegon, MI on July 31, 1977. His love for music began at birth as his mother, Betty L. McQuarter, has always been a church organist and singer. As a result, he began developing his musical skills at an early age. Qu'Adrian was able to construct melodies on his own before he learned that music is actually an entity or profession. He also began learning to play the piano before starting school. From elementary, he studied music, learning to play many of the musical instruments from the brass, woodwind, and percussion sections. When Qu'Adrian was 13 years old, his family relocated to Memphis, TN. In essence, Memphis is where he first became a paid musician, taking full advantage of an opportunity to play alongside his mother. He also took interest in singing when he attended Northside High school in Memphis and became a member of a singing group. As a singer, he constructed the complex song arrangements and harmonies.
Upon graduating from high school, Qu'Adrian moved to Nashville, TN to fulfill one of his dreams of marching in the Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands. He continued being a musician while in college and even upon his return to Memphis. Over the years, he had become a huge fan of the R&B groups Jodeci and Boyz II Men, idolizing their styles as his motivation for wanting to become a singer. Combining his skills as musician and vocalist, he decided to record. After recording at various studio venues throughout the city of Memphis, he was not satisfied with the quality of the productions in which he was provided. He knew he had the ability to produce his own music with a better quality. Thus, he invested in himself and opened a recording studio.
Qu'Adrian's talents are not solely limited to music. He is also an actor who played several character and singer roles for stage plays, and one movie. He played the role of the male suspect in a Sony/Provident film entitled The Grace Card (www.gracecardmovie.com), featuring Louis Gossett Jr. Though his role in this movie was not musically related, it proved that acting is indeed a talent he possesses. One of Qu'Adrian's goals was being able to work, live, and do business in Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA. As a result, McQuarterBack Entertainment LLC was established in Atlanta, GA in 2012 and later expanded to Memphis, TN in 2018.
Qu'Adrian is also a former employee of the Guitar Center music store in Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA., where he has served in the Professional Audio Department. He also served as a Guitar Center Certified Avid Pro-Tools Instructor for the Recording Made Easy/Music Mentor series classes. At one point, he was the Professional Audio Department Manager at the Memphis store before transferring to the Atlanta, GA store. That move enabled him to truly work, live, and do business in both cities.
Qu'Adrian is passionate about music. He continues to perfect his craft and produce all of his own music. The way he uses and delivers his musical gifts comes from his heart, and will continue to reach the inner souls of many for years to come.
